Making a Difference to Our Shared Environment
Becoming
a BFF of the Earth means using energy wisely (efficiency), moving
beyond fossil fuels to heat and cool (consumption), and creating energy
from renewable sources (production) .
Here at Lower Cape TV, we are working with all three components to be a BFF to our community and our planet.
We've begun design and insulation work to improve our building's efficiency, with help from Cape Light Compact.
We've
also working with Cape Light Compact and RISE engineering to design
options to our current natural gas furnaces; some of the cost is covered
through energy efficiency funds, but we need to raise another $45,000
for the conversion.
We are delighted to be a recipient of a $60,000 TERN Foundation Solar Grant, which covers half the cost of solar production installation for the building, and need to raise the matching $60,000.
